Prosthodontics & Cosmetic Dentistry West Bend, WI

Husband and wife team, Dr. Michael Kopecky and Dr. Lysette Brueggeman, met at Marquette University School of Dentistry and have been practicing in West Bend, Wisconsin, since 1996.

Dr. Kopecky has lectured widely on a variety of topics including dental implants, interdisciplinary treatment planning, esthetic dentistry and resin bonded restorations (inlays/onlays).

Dr. Brueggeman also has a special interest in dental implants, TMJ treatment and cosmetic dentistry.  She is the primary dentist in the practice for children and is an advocate of dentistry in the schools and community.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. Dental implants integrate with the bone to serve as stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

Partial Dentures

Dentures are removable false teeth. They replace the teeth you have lost and support the cheeks and lips for normal facial features. Dentures can be complete or partial. Partial dentures replace one or a few teeth. When your removable appliances are first inserted, Dr. Kopecky may want to see you often to assess their fit.

TMJ Therapy

TMJ stands for TemporoMandibular Joint. It is one of the most complex joints in the body, and allows for all types of movement needed for chewing, swallowing, speaking. Two causes of TemporoMandibular Disorder (TMD) include stress and your unique bite. A TMJ examination will identify if you have a TMJ Disorder.

Veneers are thin enamel replacements used to improve the shape, position and color of teeth. Veneers are usually made of porcelain, a high-strength, translucent glass material. Drs. Kopecky and Brueggeman are highly skilled in preparing teeth for veneers and work with the highest quality labs.

Dental Crowns

A crown is a protective cap for a single tooth, and can be made of gold and/or porcelain. Crowns are often recommended for teeth structurally weakened by extensive decay, deep cracks or old fillings. Crowns may be chosen to enhance a smile, correcting discolored or crooked teeth.
